Systems Engineer I
Location: 8560 Upland Dr, Englewood, CO – 4 days onsite and 1 remote
Contract Duration: Long term contract
Pay: $30-$35/hr
Overview: The Network Engineering team is looking to bring on a Systems Engineer I to support their server infrastructure deployments, run test cases for their infrastructure and support automation efforts.
Skill Set
- Ability to help with automation efforts using Ansible, Terraform and Python
- Will be working with UCS Manager for Cisco, OME for Dell and OneView for HP
- Experience working in an enterprise level environment
Responsibilities
- Continuous evaluation of new and existing server infrastructure capabilities and features, to ensure requirements are met for both existing applications and new product services.
- Contributes to architectural discussions, with both internal and external peers, to ensure proposed solutions are meeting business and operational needs.
- Collaborates with other engineering and operational organizations to understand requirements and challenges, and recommend solutions.
- Responsible for automating the compute and storage certification, bare metal provisioning automation, domain specific automations, etc.
- Responsible for creation and maintain documentation including Compute Certifications, Implementation guides, bulletins, and design.
- Sets standards for approved infrastructure deployments and integrations.
- Support and maintain existing lab infrastructure leveraging defined ticketing and resource
- The ability to multi-task and juggle between priorities as needed.
- Works with leadership to refine and effect current processes.
- Performs other duties as requested by manager.
Team: Will be working closely with three different teams – Storage team, Compute team and Linux team. Each have 3-4 engineers
