Robert Half has an exciting contract to hire opportunity for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Cyber Exercise Planner to join our clients cybersecurity team. The individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining exercise scenarios to ensure protection, detection, response, and recovery capabilities align with the organization's security policies. Th ideal candidate will have cyber experience within the financial services industry, possess deep understanding of business continuity, cyber preparedness and a proven track record of designing, developing, facilitating and evaluating cyber exercises.
This is a hybrid, 2 days onsite at opportunity at the clients Mt Laurel NJ or Charlotte NC offices.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing cybersecurity exercises in line with the company's objectives and risk appetite.
- Conducting realistic cyber-attack scenarios to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats.
- Crafting detailed exercise plans, including objectives, metrics, scenarios, and logistics.
- Coordinating with various teams to ensure the timely and successful execution of planned cyber exercises.
- Analyzing and summarizing exercise results for management review.
- Recommending and tracking remedial actions based on exercise findings.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and potential threats.
- Facilitating post-exercise reviews and driving continuous improvement in the company's cybersecurity posture.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or any related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in cybersecurity and exercise planning.
- Certification in cybersecurity such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH is preferred.
- Familiarity with various cybersecurity frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.).
- Robust knowledge of network security technologies, internet security issues, and threat landscape.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
