The ideal Superintendent candidate will provide overall leadership of the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion. Applicants must have ground up, commercial project experience and be willing to work in Santa Barbara, CA.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operation of construction projects
- Safety: ensure safety compliance and lead safety meetings, ensure daily reports are accurate and up to date.
- Schedule: ensure the schedule is accurate, updated, and completed on or ahead of contracted delivery schedule. Updating the master schedule weekly, two-week look-ahead maintained, and subcontractors perform on-time.
- Quality: ensure the project is built within budget and per plans and specifications and inspections passed.
- Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
- Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent at a general contractor
- Must have experience working on a ground up commercial project, start to finish
- Strong project management and communications skills
- Ability to read construction documents
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and MS Office
