Technical Lead - Software Engineer

$80 to $110/hour
20 to 40 hours per week
Overview: Come work for a startup working on developing scalable credit card scoring models. Their solutions are designed to handle millions of transactions annually with high security. They are looking for a hands-on technical lead to guide our software engineer team. This role involves both leadership and active coding, particularly in Python, with a focus on building and managing secure APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality code and project delivery.
- Develop and maintain scalable and secure APIs.
- Translate data science models into efficient, production-ready code.
- Oversee software architecture and infrastructure integration.
- Participate in code reviews, unit tests, and daily standups.
- Collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams to ensure robust infrastructure.
Skills:
- Proven technical leadership with a hands-on approach.
- Strong expertise in Python; experience in Java or C++ is a plus.
- Extensive experience in creating and securing APIs.
- Proficiency in AWS (GCP is acceptable).
- Knowledge of Docker and Terraform.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
