JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager – IT will maintain the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies at venues and festivals. This position will develop detail implementation plans, execute and track progress ensuring efficiency and accuracy. The Project Manager – It will recommend strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; and anticipating requirements.
- ResponsibilitiesMaintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, creating, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technology.
- Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects. Work in collaboration with upper management on the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, project costs using appropriate verification techniques and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Maintains information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
- Recommends strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures. Perform risk management to minimize project risks Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Coordinates resources and timetables with user departments and data center. Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) In Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- 4-6 years of Project management experience
- Experience in a technical position with primary responsibilities supporting users in a Microsoft environment, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Windows XP Professional/Windows 7 and Windows 2003/2008 server.
- Experience in a technical position in a facility with standard network and server protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with business applications, report writing and creating user documentation and/or specifications, etc
- Experience troubleshooting various types of ticketing and POS software
