Overview
Allied Reliability is currently looking for experienced Maintenance & Reliability Manager for a direct hire position within the Chemical Manufacturing Industry.
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY: The person in this position will report directly to the GM and be an active leader on the plant leadership team. This person will split time between maintenance (all crafts) and reliability management roles. This position will provide supervision and technical support for maintenance and reliability initiatives for fertilizer operations and develop strategies/systems to improve manufacturing reliability at the site. This position will also improve the reliability of the site's mechanical integrity systems by defining and optimizing maintenance programs and strategies.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure facility and personal adherence to regulatory, company policies, and good manufacturing practices.
- Develops effective maintenance strategies to improve reliability and manage risk.
- Prioritize maintenance and reliability activities to best align with plant objectives.
- Lead turnaround organization through all phases of turnaround activities.
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM), Health Safety and Environmental (HSE), and Continuous Improvement programs.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
- Supervise Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Planners, Reliability Specialist and Engineers.
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis to provide actions that will improve system reliability and prevent recurrence.
- Support the development of the Mechanical Integrity Program.
- Assist with developing annual maintenance budgets.
- Review and update PCC maintenance procedures and policies.
- Work in a team environment with personnel plantwide.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 10 years work experience and 2 years direct supervisor experience.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering (or other technical major with relevant experience) from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in the fertilizer industry (ammonia, urea, nitric acid) is a plus.
- Demonstrated team leadership and strong communication skills with capability to collaborate and develop win/win solutions.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks, adapt to changing conditions and balance a big picture focus with detailed execution.
- Familiar with fixed equipment associated codes and standards, including ASME and API a plus.
