We are looking for a RVT to hold a full-time position in our IAC accredited lab with 7 board certified vascular surgeons. Our surgeon/sonographer relationship is very integrated. As a RVT for our practice you will be exposed to lots of vascular pathology, have direct communication with our physicians/extenders helping them take care of our patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics
Prepare and position patient for diagnostic vascular imaging procedures
Perform vascular ultrasound imaging and assist in specialty procedures in all areas of vascular surgery
Explain procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
Prepare images for reading by our RPVI physician
Complete templates, maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
Prepare equipment which includes cleaning and sterilizing equipment as well as maintain inventory of medical supplies
Help to maintain schedules of patients as needed to ensure effective flow of patients and optimal utilization of equipment and personnel
Collaborate with physicians and fellow sonographers in production for innovative imaging
Participate in team feedback related to new equipment, protocols, and services needed to continue growth and teamwork
Responsible for assisting in promotion of a culture of service excellence in imaging and patient care that encourages quality service
Qualifications:
Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform all vascular ultrasound procedures
Must maintain current knowledge of imaging trends, techniques, protocols, procedures, and maintain skills on equipment to perform exams throughout the practices.
Must demonstrate understanding of patient safety initiatives by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as required by our Vascular Group.
RVT Registered Vascular Technologist required
Minimum two years-experience in vascular ultrasound preferred
