Sr. Frontend Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer to join our team focused on building collaborative productivity apps. In this role, you will advance and innovate in our WebGL and 2D rendering technologies to deliver a polished UX for our users. You’ll partner with product managers and engineers to shape the future of our platform, transforming the way companies collaborate on design and plan products.
Responsibilities
- Develop large-scale and high-performant web frontend to solve complex business problems.
- Innovate and optimize on our existing WebGL and 2D rendering technologies.
- Solve for performance and memory optimizations to deliver seamless user experience in the browser.
- Drive systematic quality improvements across our reusable web components and libraries.
- Understand and use software development best practices, including code quality standards, code reviews, continuous integration and testing.
- Show initiative and ownership in achieving goals, improving processes and solutions.
- Find opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally to work on new insights and improvements.
- Help mentor and guide other software engineers by sharing knowledge and expertise to promote innovation and a culture of learning.
Qualifications
- At least 6+ years of professional experience building user-facing products.
- Extensive experience with Typescript/Javascript, Angular, React.
- Understanding of browser rendering pipeline, event handling, web sockets, performance debugging and benchmarking.
- Experience in designing large-scale systems and solving for performance and memory optimizations.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing.
- Proactive communication and relationship-building skills. You care about learning, growing, and helping others to do the same.
- Strong problem-solving skills, interest in digging into new challenges, researching and recommending new technologies and trends.
- A strong intuition for UX. You can identify when something feels off and improve upon it.
- Comfort with taking ownership and ramping up quickly at a young startup.
Preferred, but not required
- Experience with 2D and WebGL rendering.
- Experience working on collaboration tools.
- Mastery of TypeScript and/or Angular.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
