Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision: Collaborate with the CIO and Director of Technology to craft and execute a comprehensive data vision aligned with organizational goals. Establish department objectives and steer the implementation of the data roadmap.
- Infrastructure Leadership: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of a robust, scalable, and high-performance data infrastructure, including the management of an enterprise data platform.
- Data Pipeline Development: Lead the creation and optimization of efficient, scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration workflows to ensure the seamless collection, storage, transformation, and normalization of data.
- Team Management: Manage a team of skilled data engineers and analysts, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles, with a preference for healthcare industry experience.
- Data Management Expertise: Proven experience in implementing data quality management processes, data governance, cataloging, and master data management principles.
- Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with health information management principles, healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, etc.), and regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, database design, and optimization. Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and analytics platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Security and Compliance: Understanding of data security principles and practices.
- Visualization and Analysis Tools: Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis tools (R, Python).
