Lead Electrical Engineer | Direct Hire
Location: Remote
- Greenville, SC or surrounding areas preferred
- Open to coming into the nearest office ~once a month and 20% travel
Salary: $140-180k
Client: World-renowned consultancy & engineering firm in the energy and materials sector
Overview:
- Play a pivotal role in the design and execution of awarded power systems projects
- Design and develop Single line diagrams, Schematics, Wiring diagrams
- Resource Management and Planning
- Quality control of all deliverables within the scope of Electrical
- Interface with Project Management and Client and liaise with other project discipline
- Prepare Electrical Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations for Paper Machine Drives, Switchgear, Transformers , Generators, Variable Frequency Drives, DC Systems and other electrical equipment as required. Review Vendor Documents
- Assist in preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals
- Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal & external service providers or contractors
- Prepare electrical designs, calculations and bills of material
Required:
- Experience with design of Power Systems for Heavy Industrial Installations
- PE License (Ability to obtain one or EIT is okay)
- Leadership experience while working on a large-scale project
- ETAP/SKM/EASYPOWER experience
- Experience with Electrical System design, System Studies, Relay Coordination, Protection & Control
Desired:
- Power Plant, Pulp and Paper Mill, Chemical Plants, Cement Plant and/or Cogen Plant power design experience preferred
