We are looking for a highly skilled Junior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have experience in an IT support role supporting both customers and IT infrastructure with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on network, infrastructure, security, software, and end user platforms. This role does require helpdesk support duties that will vary based on need and is critical in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and reliability of our IT systems, enabling us to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Entra ID, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). PowerShell and other scripting experience is a plus.
- Helpdesk Support: Assist internal users with a wide range of IT related issues including, but not limited to:
- Timely and effective technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues through FreshService ITSM.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and robust asset inventory of all deployed IT hardware
- Microsoft 365: Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Azure AD and Entra ID: Configure, manage, and support Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Entra ID for identity and access management.
- AWS: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot AWS resources, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
- Security: Implement and maintain security best practices to protect the company’s IT assets and data. Experience with GLBA and other financial institution compliance regulations a big plus.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Perform regular system monitoring, maintenance, and updates to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, departments, and external vendors to support business objectives and projects.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support and/or system administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration.
- Proficiency in core Microsoft 365 Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Word) is a must.
- Experience with Azure AD and Entra ID.
- Experience with firewalls, switches and administration of both a plus.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA or similar are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods working on technical issue,
- Must be willing to travel up to 30%
