Accupac is hiring for a full-time Manufacturing Manager to join our team at our Mainland, PA. location.
Basic Job Functions:
Drives the continued development of the people and processes within the manufacturing department. Responsible for fostering a safety-first culture, working collaboratively with all departments within the overall supply chain, drive continuous improvement and delivering on key department/site/company goals. This includes maintaining high-quality standards and enforcing adherence to the FDA’s cGMP’s, Accupac’s SOP’s/Policy’s as well as customer product specifications.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Coaches and develops supervisors as well as other personnel within the department.
- Enforce compliance with established Accupac, Inc. SOP’s, the FDA’s cGMP’s and customer’s written procedures.
- Interview prospective new hires for department.
- Coordinate job performance appraisals and assist in disciplinary actions.
- Develop effective organizational development through training and motivation.
- Direct and audit the performance of the manufacturing personnel for adherence to the customer’s specifications and procedures.
- Audit compliance to established safety procedures regarding raw material handling and equipment usage.
- Perform routine raw material inventory audits to assure accurate record keeping and accountability.
- Perform audit of completed batches for compliance and proper documentation procedures.
- Assist departmental employees in executing their assigned tasks, as necessary.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving departmental problems in an analytical and practical way.
- Develop, review and edit new or revised Accupac SOP’s
- Review new projects for obstacles which might impede effectiveness and efficiency
- Interact directly with potential and existing customers on new or current projects.
- Interact with project management on status of projects
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and/or repairs
- Perform product nonconformance investigations, summarizing the investigation and implementing corrective action
- Seek to reduce labor costs and improve manufacturing efficiency
- Provide management with product yield information for budgeting purposes
- Communicate effectively at all levels
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Drives performance in accordance with the key department/site/company key performance indicators.
Minimum Requirements of the Job:

- Able to work different scheduled hours/shifts/days to meet the manufacturing schedule.
- Ability to readily utilize Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of the FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practices as it relates to manufacturing operations.
- Able to present a neat, professional appearance on a consistent basis.
- Able to conduct responsibilities in a professional manner that displays confidence and maturity.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to support different scheduled hours/shifts/days as needed
- Able to wear a respirator as needed. This includes being clean shaven in order to be to be fit tested and wear the respirator on a regular basis.
- Able to hear/execute speech in person and over the telephone.
- Able to hear phones ring, alarms sound through ambient noise and everyday conversation.
- Able to sit at a desk for 50% of workday.
Travel: Occasional
Education and/or Experience:
- Must have a minimum of a B.S Degree with a major in chemistry or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience leading teams.
