David Mason + Associate’s HQ is looking for a Vehicle and Equipment Repair Mechanic to support our fleet of Vactor trucks, diesel engines and other company vehicles. The Equipment and Vehicle Repair Mechanic works under the direction of Safety + Operations in collaboration with Pipe Services to lead and support upkeep and required maintenance on company vehicles and Jetter trucks. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties:
- Assist Pipe Services team with CCTV service needs, troubleshooting, pre-trip inspection units, and installation of CCTV equipment used in David Mason + Associates fleet.
- Work with team and address inquiries, write reports on vehicle/equipment conditions, and deliver information to direct supervisor and Division Manager, Pipe Services.
- Coordinate and lead all communication regarding regularly scheduled and miscellaneous repairs and needs with internal staff and outside vendors,
- Oversees routine inspections, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Set up new equipment in fleet management system: Check in and out equipment fleet; test returned equipment for operations, ensure all parts and tools are returned in good working order, assess units for cleaning, maintain accurate records and report any issues to the Director of Safety + Operations.
- Assist Director of Safety + Operations in upkeep and management of vehicle documentation
- Cooperate with Pipes Service team and share information across the organization, as needed
- Support David Mason + Associates, Inc.’s preventative maintenance programs.
- Collect, compare and audit third party quotes for repairs of equipment.
- Be a contributing part of the company’s safety + operations team
- Manage all DMA vehicle repairs, maintenance, and testing as required; assisting with inventory counts and year-end reports.
- Diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions, producing timely and detailed service reports for internal and other required use.
- May travel to project or job sites to investigate or provide repairs needed, roughly 15%
- Diagnose mechanical issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Diagnose and repair sewer camera equipment (CCTV) used for inspections.
- Work on combination sewer cleaners, particularly the Vactor 2100.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of repairs in DMA’s fleet management system.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Follow and abide by the DMA employee and safety manuals

Education & Experience:
- Holds a High School diploma or equivalent
- Attended Trade School-Electronics or Previous Electronic Experience
- Has 5+ years’ experience as a mechanic and/or technician in a similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge of and ability to repair CCTV inspection equipment and other electrical components.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and vehicle components.
- Ability to diagnose and repair sewer camera equipment (CCTV) and combination sewer cleaners, specifically the Vactor 2100.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

- DOT Certification Required
