A global food manufacturing company recognized as #1 in the US is seeking a Sr System Engineer. Sr System Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day support of the Infrastructure, Support Teams, Developers, Front and Back-office Teams, and Management. This role will be based in Jersey City, NJ but will be working as part of a global team providing support to the other distribution centers and manufacturing facilities when needed.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing all systems and applications through our monitoring tools, while recommending areas for improvements -- Write basic reports such as incident reports, issue and solution reports, etc.
• Accurate record keeping of build documents, configuration standards and problem escalation to support systems recovery, disaster recovery and BCP.
• Work with various teams including but not limited to WMS, EDI, Development, etc., to ensure that IT needs are met in a timely and effective manner
Required Skills
• VMware vCenter 6.7 & 7.0
• Office365 Administration – Office 365, Teams, Exchange, Etc.
• Experience with SCCM
• Active Directory
• Significant hands-on experience with Windows Servers and Desktops
• Windows OS (7 & 10)
• Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019
• Office365 Administration
• Significant experience with patch management
• Experience in support roles, such as service desk, systems or network administration, etc.
• End User Provisioning -- Creating and deleting accounts, adding to groups and distribution lists, group policy, OS Image Deployment, etc.
• VMware vCenter 6.7 & 7.0 a plus
Desired Skills and Experience
• 5+ years professional experience, preferably with a distribution and/or manufacturing company
• Basic Scripting
• Experience with SQL Server
• Some experience or exposure in the following areas: networking
Shell scripting, automation and configuration management
Domain services (AD, DNS, DHCP)
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory – design and replication, creating and deleting accounts, adding to groups and distribution lists, group policy, etc.
