Insight Global is seeking a Quality Engineer for one of our clients who is in fiber glass manufacturing industry. They focus on the production of glass fibers to strengthen plastic as well as on product quality and compliance with specific standards. This role would to be onsite Aiken, SC from 7am - 5pm. The quality engineer would be ensuring that manufactured products meet or exceed customer expectations. The day to day of this role will consist of sorting through data, identifying root causes, improving the processes, and creating systematic approach to improving the quality.
- Provide support to project development teams regarding quality issues, measurement data and measurement techniques, statistical methods and analysis, and regulatory issues
- Assist with audits (internal and external)
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions to eliminate defects and enhance overall efficiency
- Quality Metrics: Establish and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, track defects, and drive continuous improvement efforts
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineer or Applied Sciences discipline
- 1-3 years in quality engineering / assurance field
- Background in ISO9001 environment preferred or knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100, ISO13485 or IATF16949.
- Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
