Job Description:
Deploy, configure, support, and upgrade Broadcom monitoring tools within a North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) environment. Leverage Broadcom monitoring tools with a deep understanding of how they interact with and affect the infrastructure environment. Set up profiles and implement monitoring governance, including determining what triggers an alert and who receives it. Manage updates to probes and general updates to the UIM tool. Potential responsibility for building out dashboards. Optimize infrastructure and network performance data to identify root causes before they impact business operations. Utilize machine learning-based algorithms for predictive analysis. Escalate issues appropriately and apply knowledge to handle tickets and incidents within the local environment. Refresh and update monitoring architecture as needed. Provide enterprise-level support for Infrastructure Management (UIM). Manage server equipment and monitoring tools to oversee the network, applications, and infrastructure within the client environment. Collaborate with the Lead Architect on projects focusing on CA Monitoring, infrastructure system refreshes, and upgrades related to Broadcom and UIM.
Required Skills:
- Subject Matter Expert in leading the solution and configuration of the following Broadcom applications: Performance Manager v20.2, Spectrum v20.4, UIM v20.3, and/or APM.
- Proficient in DX Performance Manager (Multi-Tenancy Management, Create/Manage Monitoring Templates, Create and Manage Dashboards, and User Administration).
- Experienced with DX Spectrum (DSS Management, Integration with Performance Manager, Policy Configuration, Alert Rule Configuration, Dashboard Management, User Administration, and Integration with ServiceNow).
- Skilled in DX Unified Infrastructure Manager (Multi-Tenancy Management, Integration with DX Spectrum, Dashboard Creation and Management, and User Administration).
Desired Skills:
- Senior-level IT professional with familiarity with Linux systems.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience with enterprise-level monitoring technology.
- Strong understanding of DX Technology and its configuration within various environments.
- Knowledge of AIOps is a plus.
- Experience with DX Application Performance Manager (On-Premises Management, Application Monitoring Configuration, Alert Configuration, Integration with ServiceNow, and User Administration).
- 10+ years of experience in network or system management.
- Familiarity with CA licensing.
