CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - BILINGUAL
Company is a market-leading supplier of natural stone products to high-end residential and commercial customers. The company operates showrooms across the country and owns a stone and ceramic tile manufacturing operation in Mexico. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced COO to join our team and contribute to our success.
As the COO, you will play a critical role in overseeing business execution for the company. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will have responsibility for all aspects of manufacturing, sourcing, warehousing and delivery of the company’s products, work broadly with all departments in the organization to deliver financial results, and broadly act as the key “number 2” executive in helping to manage the business as a whole. You will be a critical contributor to both setting corporate strategy and managing the initiatives required to deliver it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the company’s Mexico production operations, working closely with in-country Director of Operations and team.
- Manage supply chain team for both input raw materials and third-party sourced products.
- Facilitate key communications between commercial organization and fulfillment functions of the business
- Drive continuous improvement and execution disciplines, deploying operational KPIs.
- Support best practice propagation across showrooms via detailed analysis and evaluation of key commercial performance drivers by location and person.
- Substantially contribute to identifying and deploying a long-term growth strategy for the company.
- Support new product and market development by ensuring that such growth initiatives are rooted in both business plans and associated execution roadmaps.
- Foster a culture of high-performance collaboration and lead and mentor others across various departments and levels of the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing manufacturing operations
- Strong experience with multi-location retail management and distribution networks.
- Knowledge of production processes, supply chain management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with a strong ability to mentor and develop teams.
- High degree of financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Travel up to 15-20% between the Mexico manufacturing facility and retail locations across US.
