General Superintendent opening with a well-known, large-scale commercial builder in Richmond. Projects consist of ground-up multi-family & commercial builds, usually between $30-100M.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily onsite field operations, managing construction activities, third-party vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain project schedule and proactively manage the project budget by overseeing approvals and deliveries, controlling expenses, and reviewing submittal data.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
- Collaborate with internal Project Managers, Design Managers, and Developers.
- Drive the construction document coordination phase and review document packages for procurement, developing detailed scopes of work.
- Help formulate, maintain, and execute the project schedule.
- Manage the permit process with expeditors, DOB, MTA, and related governmental requirements.
Requirements:
- 15+ years experience as a Superintendent on large, ground up projects
- Ideally 5+ years in a General Superintendent position, overseeing multiple projects and teams
- Commutable to Richmond, VA
