Akkodis is hiring for an IT Support Specialist/IT Business Partner to serve our client in the New York, NY area!

Pay:$36-$45/hr
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to help us grow our client's IT environment. IT Support is the first contact for the end user. This team focuses on resolving incidents and finding underlying problems and developing long-term solutions.
RESPONSIBILIES:
- Provide top-notch IT support to our local offices as well as our worldwide remote office workers.
- Interface daily with other technical staff, work on assignments, and deliver services to end-users
- Build, set up, maintain, implement, and troubleshoot technology problems related to laptops, desktops and systems that affect end-user productivity.
- Performing basic-level troubleshooting tasks and operating system support on Microsoft Windows OS, Mac OS X, mobile devices, and network services.
- Mobile device setup, installation, and/or post-installation support
- Championing the use of self-service IT resources, such as self-service support tools and knowledge base.
- Manage event support, set up AV and live stream equipment.
- Create technical documents.
- Occasional weekend work. (Not really needed unless events occur)
- Occasional travel is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- A minimum of 3 years working in the IT field.
- College Degree in Computer Science, Systems Science, and Computer Engineering or 3+ years of relevant discipline.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience supporting devices and peripherals running on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.
- Support experience with Wired/Wireless networks, VPN, Collaboration tools (Chat and Video Conferencing), A/V devices, and conference room systems.
- Ability to articulate technical solutions to non-technical users in simple and easy-to-understand terms.
- Systematic problem-solving approach with the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and progress in high ambiguity and uncertainty areas.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, willingness to learn new procedures and tasks
- - Ability to lift 50lbs and be on site 5 days a week. This is an onsite role and not a remote/hybrid position.
Preferred Requirements:
- Hardware/software/network training and/or certification in systems (such as Comptia A+/Network+, MCSA, Apple certification, etc...).
- Basic scripting/automation capability (Shell, Python, Perl PHP, C+++, Java)
- VIP/White Glove support experience.
- Multi-language speakers (local + English) are preferred for global office communication and project deliverables.
- Familiarity with standard ticketing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of self-motivation and task management skills
Additional Skills:
-Hardware/software/network training and/or certification in systems (such as ITIL, Comptia A+/Network+, MCSA, Apple certification, etc...).
- Scripting/Automation capability (Shell, Python, Perl PHP, C+++, Java etc).
- Multi-language speakers (local + English) are preferred for global office communication and project deliverables.
