Futura Systems, a subsidiary of Meridian Cooperative, provides enterprise utility GIS solutions to hundreds of electric membership cooperatives, electric municipal systems, and other utility providers across the United States. We excel at employing the ArcGIS foundation to develop mapping, staking, and outage management tools that deliver powerful, user-friendly functionality. Summary:
Supports external and internal customer applications and servers to ensure they work within specifications. Builds, deploys, configures and installs internal systems for other departments. Addresses initial customer support requests that fall outside the scope of other external support departments. Troubleshoots application errors with customers and works with third party vendors to resolve issues.
Maintains systems operations by monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting user authentication, permissions, and name records for internal and external systems.
Resolves systems problems by determining cause and possible solutions; assisting end-user and/or technical support staff; collaborating with other systems administrators.
Determines hardware configuration by studying, analyzing, and evaluating system factors, such as number of users, reporting requirements, volume of transactions, access restrictions, cost constraints, and security conditions.
Supports help desk staff by resolving trouble tickets; confirming fix with end-users and/or help desk staff; eliminating problem repeatability.
Bachelor's Degree with 3-4 years of IT experience that includes the following:
- Windows Server management
- SQL Server management with programming or T-SQL experience.
- Network analysis and troubleshooting – Pktmon, ProcMon, Perfmon, Wireshark, etc.
- Network protocols management
The ideal candidate will also have experience in the following areas:
- Hypervisor management
- Backup strategies & disaster recovery
- Cybersecurity, ArcGIS Enterprise and Active Directory
- Domain controllers & DNS
