Role Purpose
To lead the successful execution of complex Aerospace & Defence projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering collaboration across teams, ultimately driving timely delivery, adherence to budget, and exceptional quality standards.
The Opportunity
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines in accordance with program objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that are aligned with overarching business objectives.
- Ensure the completion of program deliverables within specified timeframes, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the seamless execution of project plans, effectively coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee project success.
- Provide regular and comprehensive status reports to senior management and stakeholders, offering insights into progress against project goals, identified risks, and mitigation plans.
- Proactively develop and maintain risk management plans, identifying potential program risks and issues and taking pre-emptive measures to address them.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the program, actively seeking opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Manage and nurture relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners, fostering open communication and collaboration throughout the entire program lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, standards, and regulations governing Aerospace & Defense projects.
Your Skills and Experience:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Significant industry experience, with demonstrated success in managing complex projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management skills, including project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Experience with program management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management, stakeholders, and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex issues.
- Experience in government contracts and regulations.
