Business Intelligence Specialist
100% Remote (must live in state of TN)
6 - 12 month CTH (definite conversion)
Hours - 37.5 hours/week
Conversion Salary - ~ $90k
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Director of Data Services, this position develops, modifies, and analyzes data components in the Datawarehouse and creates insights for a business intelligence solution team. This position will need to be self-sufficient and work independently on the data projects while will also require coming together with the BI team to rotate in other roles on a daily basis. They will take part in brainstorming session to discuss resource optimization & utilization to ensure proper controls are implemented through data management to meet user requirements.
- Develops and schedules Extract Transform Load (ETL) solutions regularly that recognize dependencies, pre-processing tasks for data administration, using SSMS, SSIS.
- Understands pertinent data models and business processes to fulfill user requests for maintenance, support, and enhancements for the Database tables.
- Develops and maintains complex data storage structures needed to support data warehouse functions to ensure data is maintained in consistent formats.
- Builds, updates, and monitors the data warehouse and business systems performances maintaining the integrity.
- In-depth development knowledge of OLAP cubes, DataMart and perspectives using SSAS and have experience in all the stages of a BI development environment.
- Research and troubleshoot reported problems, validates data results, and ensures logic requirements are met.
- Design and develops Tableau & PowerBI report visualization including complex dashboard design through MDX queries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in computer science, math, or related science field required.
- Proficiency in SQL Server/T-SQL using MS tools required.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as an ETL developer.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working on Business Intelligence development tools (SSIS) required.
- 3+ years of experience working on dashboard development in Tableau or PowerBI.
- Work experience in the education industry is preferrable.
