Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Englewood, CO (on-site)
Pay: $65,000 - $90,000
Education / Certification Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
- An EIT (Engineer in Training) certification is mandatory.
Experience and Skills:
- You possess 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
- You are well-versed in electrical standards and key design aspects for lighting, power, and fire alarm systems.
- You have a solid understanding of electrical circuiting for power and lighting, along with telecommunications, mechanical, and architectural considerations related to electrical equipment.
- You are knowledgeable about industry standards and the construction process.
- You can effectively interface with contractor teams, demonstrating strong situational awareness skills.
- You have strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills, and you work well independently as well as collaboratively with team members at all levels.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit is required.
- Knowledge of electrical-specific calculation software tools is an advantage.
Engineering Tasks:
- Conduct electrical load short circuit and voltage drop calculations.
- Prepare electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm drawings and punch lists under supervision.
- Complete electrical schedules and size feeders, branch circuits, and panels.
- Assist with the review of electrical shop drawings.
- Offer opinions on probable costs for Division 26 equipment and systems.
