A top ENR General Contracting firm located in the Denver Metro Area is seeking a Project Executive to join their team to lead commercial ground up developments throughout Colorado.
Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead all critical aspects of project management, including approving project budgets and timelines, and overseeing both negotiated and competitive bidding processes.
- Transition Management: Efficiently manage the transition from the estimation phase to project execution, ensuring all financial and operational details are agreed upon.
- Subcontractor Relations: Oversee the selection and negotiation with subcontractors, ensuring alignment with company standards and approving significant orders and contracts.
- Contractual Compliance: Support contract negotiations, review contractual obligations, and summarize key contract points.
- Planning and Initiation: Conduct initial planning and mobilization for projects, ensuring each project team is well-equipped and fully prepared.
- Leadership and Development: Recruit and develop project staff, providing mentoring and ensuring adherence to high standards of safety and quality.
- Site Management: Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress and enforce compliance with safety policies, reporting findings to senior management.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project finances to maintain a positive cash flow, secure timely payments, and ensure profitable project completion.
- Client Engagement: Continuously engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle and collaborate with the business development team on new opportunities.
- Reporting and Communication: Evaluate team performance, ensuring roles and responsibilities are fulfilled, and provide detailed project reports.
- Strategic Assistance: Aid in strategic planning and take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Division Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in construction management, with proven supervisory experience.
- Skills:
- Effective leadership and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in drafting and various computer programs.
- Solid understanding of legal aspects of contracts and thorough knowledge in financial and project management areas.
