Role Description
Full-time Entry to Principal Geotechnical Engineer for offices in Redlands, Monrovia, Costa Mesa and Palm Desert, southern California. The Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible to conduct site investigations, analyze soil and rock properties, perform laboratory tests, provide seismic and geotechnical engineering recommendations. Also, to provide support on construction projects.
Project to Principal Level engineers will manage clients and projects, conduct business development, train staff and assist in the profitability of the office.
Qualifications
- Site Investigation and Soil analysis
- Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geology
- Laboratory testing of soils and construction materials
- Seismic and Secondary effects of Earthquakes Analysis
- Foundation Design
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carefully document findings and calculations accurately
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field
- Entry Level: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain within 2-3 years.
- Project level and higher: PE required and GE preferred.
- Experience with CAD software, GIS, and geotechnical data analysis software is preferred
