- Designs, develops and maintains databases.
- Designs, implements and supports database backup, recovery systems, database migration and archiving systems and procedures.
- Develops and implements database security infrastructure and user access accounts. Collaborates with architects and technical specialists to identify proper hardware and software implementations.
- Plans, installs and tests software upgrades and patches.
- Monitors database performance trends to identify and correct problems.
- Designs, develops and maintains complex databases.
- Creates procedures for the design, implementation and test of database backup, recovery systems, database migration and archiving systems and procedures.
- Creates plans for the implementation of database security infrastructure.
- Consults with architects and technical specialists to identify proper hardware and software implementations.
- Plans, installs and tests software upgrades and patches.
- Provides input on organizational standards for database monitoring thresholds.
- Monitors performance trends to identify and correct problems.
ALL REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• MUST HAVE Min 8+ years experience a must with HPE NonStop/virtual NonStop (either or) but both great to have
• MUST HAVE SQL/MX experience a must
• MUST HAVE Extensive experience with database design
• MUST HAVE Strong understanding of relational databases
• MUST HAVE Strong understanding of isolation and transaction concepts
• MUST HAVE Detailed understanding of temporal databases (highly required, MUST)
• MUST HAVE Able to write complex queries
• MUST HAVE Experience maintaining SQL/MX databases and creating them on demand
• MUST HAVE Experience at disk management
• MUST HAVE Experience with recommending Database Management Systems (DBMS) to leadership
• MUST BE willing to work within a team
• Bachelor in any IT technical discipline HIGH DESIRED BUT NOT REQURIED. MUST HAVE ALL THE SKILLS ABOVE.
