Job Description - Clinician
Position Summary:
Wright Step Counseling and Recovery, LLC is looking for clinicians passionate about providing quality, client centered therapy services to children, adults, couples, and/or families. At Wright Step Counseling and Recovery, LLC we value providing individualized, trauma-informed services to all clients and welcome clinicians with diverse training backgrounds, areas of expertise and clinical interests who are passionate about providing therapy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Skilled in providing child, adult, family, and/or couples therapy services.
Interested in and capable of providing services via telehealth therapy and/or in person.
Able to maintain ethical, professional boundaries and conduct in the delivery of services.
Skilled in assessing clients needs and level of functioning including a bio psychosocial assessment and making appropriate recommendations based on client's needs.
Develop treatment plans, safety plans, and monitoring progress and collaborating with outside agencies, as needed.
Write daily/weekly progress notes for each therapy session and mental health service.
Provide crisis counseling to children and families as necessary.
Able to maintain own client schedule and coordinate scheduling with receptionist.
Skilled in maintaining accurate and timely records and capable of completing all documentation in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain charts in accordance with audit requirements.
Willing to allow time to build a caseload (time periods may vary based on desired client load/availability).
Willing to become paneled with various insurance carriers (IE will assist with credentialing).
Willing to undergo a background check and provide professional references for contact.
Attend weekly supervision meetings, as needed, based on licensure status.
Maintain updated CEU's and annual ethical trainings and keep up to date with current information and developments.

Education/Experience :
The Licensed Clinician must possess a Master's degree or Doctorate degree from an accredited school of Social Work or other graduate program in Psychology, Counseling or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling.
Licensed Clinician must be registered with the Board of Idaho as an LMSW or LCSW or MFT, LPC, LCPC or similar license eligible in Idaho.
Experience working in an out-patient setting desired.
License, Certifications or Registration :
Master's level licensure with the state of Idaho
Must possess a valid Driver's license
Must be 21 years of age or older
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
Ability to read, speak, understand, analyze and interpret documents such as client safety/treatment plans, assessment materials and procedure manuals in the English language.
Ability to write professional/clinical reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Must be able to function independently and be able to seek guidance when necessary to assist in working with children and families.
Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and web browsers effectively.
Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV).
Knowledge of a variety of therapeutic interventions and models emphasizing empirically validated interventions.
Knowledge of child/adolescent development.
Knowledge of child abuse and substance abuse issues.
Knowledge of legal/ethical issues and concerns.
Knowledge of mandated reporting responsibilities and limits of confidentiality.
Knowledge of family dynamics.
Knowledge of anger management and coping skills.
Basic knowledge of psychotropic medications.
Excellent writing, communication, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time in an efficient manger.
Excellent program solving skills.
Skill to accurately diagnosis and assess clients.
Ability to relate to children and families in a positive manner.
Ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with children and families.
Understand and respond to diverse population.
Physical Demands :
While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands or talk or hear. Fine motor skills such as typing, the use of a computer mouse and telephone handset is required. Employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally life and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
