Here's a brief round up of some of the responsibilities for the role;
- Lead the design of structural systems for buildings across various sectors, including K-12, Justice & Civic, Mixed Use, Cultural and Performing Arts, and Higher Education.
- Develop and manage a structural engineering team to produce high-quality construction documents using Revit.
- Oversee project schedules to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with other disciplines as part of an integrated design team to create highly cohesive building designs.
- Work directly with the regional discipline leader to assist in developing work plans, project schedules, budgets, and proposals for internal teams and external clients.
Some qualifications include;
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience in building design, including expertise in concrete, masonry, steel, and wood/timber systems.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams on complex projects.
- Proficiency in structural software (ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA) and BIM, particularly Autodesk Revit.
