Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Developer specializing in Financial Systems to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise planning systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support applications that facilitate the company’s planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and contribute innovative ideas.
- Collaborate with business partners to deliver intuitive solutions, technical support, and training.
- Build new financial and merchandise planning models and enhancements. Test, validate, and migrate from lower environments.
- Maintain and optimize existing models. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Establish data integration processes to ensure accurate and timely data flow within the planning system and other enterprise systems.
- Monitor daily data loads and validation processes, remediate and escalate issues as needed. Provide on-call support.
- Develop related end-user interfaces and reporting.
- Provide technical support and training to end users.
- Mentor junior developers on functionalities and best practices.
- Document functional and technical aspects of planning models to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
Qualifications:
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience working with enterprise planning systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Aptitude for complex problem-solving and high attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of planning system architecture, components, and data integration processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Thorough understanding of business processes and financial statements
Nice to Have:
- Background in retail
- Experience with TM1/Planning Analytics and/or Python is preferred
