Customer Quality Manager Position Summary:
Working knowledge/experience in electronics manufacturing processes, electronics product design and testing, LED device technology and process mapping + troubleshooting.
Interface with customer
- Interface with our lighting customers in various markets (Automotive, Industrial, Commercial, GI, OEMs and/or their suppliers) in order to support their quality requirements for our products and further develop awareness of customer`s requirements throughout our organization.
- Be the ‘voice of the customer’ in the Lumileds organization.
- Prepare, support and follow up on customer audits and quality incidents
Issue / complaint handling
- Be the single point of coordination to customer, headquarter and regional subsidiaries for complaint handling.
- Ensure clear and timely issue communication to the appropriate Lumileds facilities and appropriate feedback to the customer, as well as a proper resolution of all customer issues
- Review quality trends, track the root cause of problems and coordinate corrective actions (as well as verify corrective actions taken at Lumileds’ plants).
Business Development / NPI / Change management
- Be Lumileds central entry point for the NAFTA customer’s APQP relevant topics.
- Follow up PCN’s/PTN’s (lamps & LED’s) to ensure trouble free implementations.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), DVPR (Design Verification Plan Report), SLP (Safe Launch Plan), CP (Control Plan) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) as part of the new production introduction or any changes during mass production.
- Support Customer Safe Launch activities.
- Review CSR’s implementation
Reporting / KPI / Improvement
- Define, coordinate and agree with main stakeholders on the annual customer quality metrics and improvement plan.
- Pro-actively monitoring of the customer performance and initiate corrective actions in case of deviation
- Report to the top management on the performance and any need for improvements
IATF / L(Q)MS
- Ensure that all Policies and Procedures pertinent to this position are maintained and go through continuous improvement
- Work in accordance with IATF principles and assist in realizing departmental objectives with respect to the Quality Management System.
- Keep QMS (LMS) system up to date for NAFTA CQ processes
Pay Range Data:
We expect to pay within the range of $90K - $125K per year for this role. This range represents base salary and does not reflect benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries reflect several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, education/certifications and specific work location.
What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):
- Experience from Electronics background.
- Experience working on quality problems of diverse scope where analysis of quality data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Experience formulating solutions for (technical) partial problems that cannot be found by combining previous experiences but by composing newly acquired knowledge.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary quality change projects,
- Ability to work independently and provides consultative advice internally and to supported customers.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree with > 5 years of related experience in quality ; or a Master’s degree with < 3 years of related experience or equivalent years of experience.
