They are looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their dynamic team in Austin, TX. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure network infrastructures using the latest technologies, including Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures with a focus on Palo Alto firewalls.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security measures to protect against threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network security best practices are followed across all systems.
- Troubleshoot network issues related to security devices, protocols, and configurations.
- Document and maintain network security policies, procedures, and configurations.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies to continually improve the security posture of the network.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security technologies.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, etc.) and security technologies (IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification.
- Experience with cloud security and SD-WAN technologies.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.).
