Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring EHS programs at assigned facilities under the direction of the EHS Management team.
- The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
- Administrates workplace safety incident management, including workers' compensation administration, and assists in the corrective and or preventative action process.
- Assists in the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Acts as a business partner to employees and managers on all safety-related issues with the assistance of the EHS Management team.
- Monitors and or supervises hazardous waste management at assigned facilities.
- Assists in emergency response support and action planning at assigned facilities.
- Performs weekly EHS tasks as required.
- Maintains and monitors EHS records, equipment, and the compliance calendar for assigned facilities, including permit submissions.
- Provides key performance indicator reporting to Corporate EHS.
Physical Demands
- Sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lifting and or pushing and or pulling and carrying products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Potential Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and or moderate noise levels.
- Potential Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
- Safety Shoes compliant with site-specific policies and or procedures must be worn in designated areas.
- Potential Exposure to blood.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an Environmental Health and Safety related field or equivalent experience is a plus
Experience
- 1– 3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, safety procedures, equipment, supplies, and loss control and prevention theories is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good business and technical writing skills.
- Able to prioritize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
- Well-versed in Microsoft applications.
