Position: Firewall Network Security Engineer
Location: Westlake, TX 76262 (3 days on-site)
Duration: 6-Months Contract-to-Hire
Project Description:
Positions are required to quickly address or migrate B2B connections from legacy data centers in order to meet Data Center Exit timelines. These positions on the Business to Business Hosting team are needed to support the data analysis, planning, 3rd Party contact communication and co-ordination activities for the migration of connections to the SNI locations from the legacy data centers.
Required Skills:
- Strong Firewall Engineer with Network Security experience
- Palo Alto or Fortinet experience (either would work but both are preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in information and network security.
• Experience managing large scale enterprise security solutions.
• Fundamental knowledge of networks and networking.
• Fundamental knowledge of information security and security principles.
• Fundamental knowledge of information security standards, frameworks, policies, controls, and regulations.
• Extensive experience with and knowledge of firewall and IPS technologies.
• Willingness to work frequent evenings and occasional weekends to support and implement production changes.
• 1+ year doing scripting, automation and development methodologies/tools such as Ansible, Perl.
• Fundamental understanding of software development life cycle
Desired Skills:
• Experience working with Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and Cisco firewalls.
• Industry recognized security certifications.
• Knowledge of regulations required in a financial environment.
• Experience writing technical procedures, references, and other documentation.
• Experience working with cross functional teams.
