Registered Nurse (RN) Educator - LTC Facility

Position Overview:
As an RN Educator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care. This position involves both educational and hands-on responsibilities, making it perfect for a versatile nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment. Our facility prides itself on a supportive team culture where everyone, including the DON, ADON, and other RN administrators, actively participates in floor duties when needed.
Facility Details:
Size: Approximately 70 beds
Census: Typically around 40-50 residents
Culture: Family-style atmosphere with a great team dynamic
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care Management: Utilize your knowledge, skills, and judgment to manage resident care effectively. Assume supervisory roles as assigned.
- Care Delivery: Provide resident care following guidelines and utilizing appropriate resources, including personnel, services, supplies, and equipment.
- Diagnostic Evaluation: Review and evaluate diagnostic test results and take appropriate actions.
- Policy Adherence: Supervise and evaluate nursing compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Nursing Assessment: Perform and document nursing assessments to identify and prioritize residents' needs, developing and revising care plans as necessary.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Evaluate nursing interventions based on the interdisciplinary plan of care and make necessary revisions.
- Education Planning: Develop and implement education plans in collaboration with residents and their families, ensuring documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Program Implementation: Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate educational/orientation programs based on resident needs and regulatory requirements.
- Issue Identification: Identify concerns and challenges related to resident care and facility operations, providing comprehensive recommendations to the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of a Diploma, Associate s Degree, or Bachelor s Degree in Nursing.
- Experience: Over 5 years of experience in an LTC facility required. No prior educator experience needed.
- Licensure: Current RN license to practice in the State of Georgia.
