Our client is looking to enhance its data analytics capabilities and transform business processes to support its mission of becoming a data-driven organization. As our client continues to build their next-gen analytics platform, the Senior BSA will collaborate closely with the finance, and client-facing business groups to gather requirements, understand objectives, define metrics, and re-envision the future state of reports and dashboards. You will partner with technical and product teams to develop solutions that meet these business objectives, support business processes, and transform data into actionable insights.
Principal Duties & Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to reporting and analytics.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing data sources, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives to meet business needs.
- Prepare detailed specifications and wireframes/mockups for engineers.
- Ensure technical design and implementation meet business and systems requirements and align with enterprise goals and objectives.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, help resolve issues, and track future enhancements.
- Perform work with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation.
- Identify and analyze business problems and develop business cases for solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.
- Conduct impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and document business rules and functions.
- Assist in the creation of training materials and user documentation for new systems or enhancements.
Knowledge: Education, Experience, & Skills:
- 6+ years of relevant experience working with the business, including using BI tools such as Power BI, or similar as an end user.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Solid experience working with SQL (queries, joins, select statements, and criteria) as a Business Systems Analyst.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in the insurance, or healthcare industry is a must
- Sound understanding of the full project life cycle and SDLC.
- Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence is preferred.
- A BA/BS degree is required.
