The Asphalt Paving Superintendent will spend their time overseeing multiple asphalt paving crews at a time, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in the day to day operation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead asphalt foremen during day to day operations
- Model and maintain the safety culture of C.R. Jackson
- Communicate with key internal and external partners for project delivery
- Coach and support the crews to provide a timely and safe delivery of a quality product every shift
- Plan and schedule the logistics of the day to day operation, including communicating effectively and efficiently
- Train and develop the individual members of the paving crews, providing both encouragement and accountability
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of asphalt operations supervision experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated and driven to achieve results and solve problems
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain composure in a high pressure environment
