Senior Linux Systems Administrator (On-Site)
*This position requires candidates to be on-site 5x a week in Dahlgren, VA*
Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to join their team! This candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining Linux servers and tools in support of software development; to include scripting to automation tasks. In addition, day to day responsibilities include supporting Linux RHEL, driver, applications, vulnerabilities, and security requirements.

Experience of the Right Candidate:
- B.S. in CS, Engineering, Math/=, or Physics desired.
- 5+ years’ experience in Systems Administration.
- Experience with two or more of the following: BASH/Ansible, Python, CSH, ZSH, Command line, GNU and Unix commands.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start).
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA EX200 or RHCE EX294), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or LPIC (Linux Professional Institute) desired.
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining Linux servers and tools in support of software development; to include scripting to automation tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting: Linux Red Hat Enterprise License 7 or 8, driver, applications, vulnerabilities, security requirements and postures.
- Ability to interact with corporate and vendor SMEs to solve complex problems, RMF experience, building and maintaining Linux Systems.
