Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in data architecture, data engineering, data governance, and data quality. As a key member of our collaborative team, you will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and implementing data-driven solutions that support our client’s business objectives. Your ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical requirements, coupled with your expertise in SQL, Talend, ETL processes, and data management, will help drive efficiency, innovation, and compliance throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs, identify areas for improvement, and translate these needs into precise technical requirements.
- Data Governance & Data Quality: Lead efforts to establish and maintain robust data governance practices. Ensure that data quality standards are met by implementing processes for data validation, cleansing, and monitoring. Work to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Data Architecture & Engineering: Partner with data engineers and IT teams to design and implement scalable, efficient data architectures. Ensure that data models support business objectives and are optimized for performance and accessibility.
- ETL Processes & Data Integration: Design, develop, and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Talend or similar tools. Ensure accurate and efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading across multiple systems.
- SQL Development: Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases. Ensure that queries are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that provide critical data insights, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and optimization within data management workflows. Propose and execute initiatives that enhance data quality, governance, and overall program effectiveness.
- Documentation & Training: Create and maintain detailed documentation for data processes, systems, and workflows. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of data tools and adherence to data governance standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring that data solutions are both technically sound and aligned with business objectives.
- Business Process Improvement: Work with Business Stakeholders to understand and analyze workflows. Suggest, and lead business transformation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on data architecture, engineering, governance, quality, preferably within the healthcare or pharmacy industry.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data engineering concepts.
- Extensive experience in data governance and data quality management, including data validation, cleansing, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with data lifecycle management and data compliance practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
- Understanding of cloud-based data platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience working with healthcare/pharmacy data, including understanding of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA).
