What is the position?
The Engineering Technician will support tactical projects and be responsible for the support of engineering and construction records for natural gas pipeline facilities.
What are the responsibilities?
As an Engineering Technician, you will:
- Prepare, review, and organize engineering, material, testing, and construction documentation for natural gas pipeline projects in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Independently research electronic project files to verify records, conduct gap analyses, identify missing data, and ensure completeness.
- Handle a variety of records including material test records (MTRs), pressure test records, MAOP documents, and nondestructive evaluation records (NDEs).
- Collaborate closely with construction teams, engineers, project managers, and and document controls to ensure accuracy.
- Take on additional tasks as given.
What are the requirements?
- Associate's degree preferred
- 5+ years relevant experience (pipeline experience preferred)
- Operations or construction field experience
- Knowledge of pipeline and facility construction and associated records
- Understanding of pipeline construction and material and project records
- Knowledge of DOT 49CFR192, ASME B31.8, and ASME B31.3
- Able to work independently/remotely with files while keeping excellent communication
- Ability to prioritize safety
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
