Our client is an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) technology startup seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the development of next-generation augmented reality systems. You will play an integral part in the electrical hardware development lifecycle from requirements to design, test, and integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating, and integrating electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance hardware systems.
- Oversee all aspects of the electrical hardware development lifecycle from requirements to design, test, integration and manufacturing.
- Evaluates various design approaches and uses data-based methodical methods to down-select to plan-of-record design directions.
- Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
- May use high level programming language to configure programmable logic devices
- Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results
- Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
- Able to identify component operational characteristics that may impact system performance and or sustainability
- Contribute to proposals and estimates of budget and schedule to meet program objectives.
Experience, Skills and Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or directly related field
- 5 to 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Experience with high-speed memories such as DDR3/DDR4 and high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe 3.0/4.0, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, Ethernet
- Experience with FPGAs, SoCs, firmware, and embedded software development.
- Familiarity with standard lab equipment – oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers
- Altium experience would be a PLUS
- Should have experience with military standards and hardware qualification processes such as EMI, thermal, vibration, etc.
