Large family owned and one of the most comprehensive paperboard manufacturing companies in the Philadelphia area is seeking a talented and experienced Powerhouse Engineer to help service our 100,000+ foot facility.
You will have a Philadelphia Grade A Engineering license, strong written and verbal communication and diagnostic skills.
You will conduct daily monitoring and adjustment of critical boiler parameters including pressure, flow, and levels.
Knowledge of POWERHOUSE and BOILERS is essential
Key Responsibilities include:
· Manage water chemistry testing and oversee water treatment programs.
· Conduct performance adjustments on both high-pressure (power) and low-pressure (heating) boilers based on plant requirements.
· Perform interlock testing, including flame scanner and low water cutoff.
· Monitor and maintain accessory systems such as feedwater, air systems, generators, fire protection, and cooling towers.
Qualifications include:
· Current and valid Philadelphia Engineer Grade A License.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating high-pressure boilers with electric generation.
· Legally authorized to work in the United States.
· Able to meet all physical and pre-employment screening requirements.
· Availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with applicable overtime compensation.
This is a full-time Powerhouse Engineer position on site at our HQ’s in Philadelphia.
