Job Description:
- The client is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Combat Mission Systems business. The Electrical Engineer supports the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex military equipment.
- In this role, the Electrical Engineer: research, plans, designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic and electrical systems and components.
- Utilizing advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures.
- Evaluates vendor capabilities, technologies, services and their ability to deliver required products or services
- The qualified candidate will work under general direction of a project engineering led to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems, ranging from combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions.
- The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application.
Skills Required:
- Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems
- Experience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings.
- Ability to create and manage interface control documents.
- Ability to perform circuit simulation (PSpice or LTspice)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results.
Skills Preferred:
- Hands-on troubleshooting of circuits using oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, Test Stand
- Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio
Experience Required:
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis
- Experience developing technical documentation - such as drawings, reports, & technical analysis
Experience Preferred:
- Experience with engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems.
- Experience with Programming National Instruments test equipment using LabVIEW and Test Stand
Education Required:
- Typically requires 1+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field or 0+ years with a master's degree
