We have a client located in the Richmond VA area that has an immediate need for a Commissioning Agent.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing specifications for the commissioning of HVAC systems for specific projects.
- Prepare commissioning plans.
- Prepare pre-start-up and start-up commissioning checklists for specific HVAC systems and sub-systems.
- Prepare functional performance test plans for specific HVAC systems and subsystems.
- Review shop drawings related to the commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Review checklists and functional performance tests provided by Contractors.
- Organize the commissioning team and schedule commissioning events.
- Responsible for representing the company and the customer in the commissioning of the HVAC systems.
- Preparing and witnessing Pre-functional Checks (PCs) and Functional Performance Tests (FPTs)
- Assist the contractor in facilitating Owner’s Training.
- Review of Operation and Maintenance Support Information (OMSI) Manuals
- Preparation and/or review of the Final Commissioning Report.
- Work independently with limited direction.
- Mentor and monitor the professional development of other potential commissioning employees.
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing design review, comment, and recommendations for 3rd party commissioning.
- Job Requirements:
- 10 years of experience with mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing trades
- 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial new construction/ renovation work
- 5 years of experience in commissioning commercial or industrial new construction/ renovation work
- Trades license, design experience, or BAS controls experience a plus
- Commissioning certification or willingness/ability to get a certification from an industry-recognized organization within a calendar year.
- This is a direct hire permanent position and pay will be based on experience level.
