Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer in Test to join our investment client in Durham, NC. This role is part of the Planning and Advice Platform in the Personal Investing Wealth Domain, which aims to deliver the best financial outcomes through robust financial planning and advice tools. The successful candidate will work on developing and testing high-volume batch applications, automated testing, and continuous integration to enhance our financial planning tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automated testing solutions for high-volume batch applications to ensure exceptional quality and rapid deployment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance and Development teams to drive innovation and optimize development velocity.
- Leverage your skills in Java with Spring Boot, Rest Assured, Postman, Spark, and BDD testing with Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Utilize Agile software development tools (JIRA, GIT/Stash, Splunk) and DevSecOps practices (Jenkins, virtualization, automated test) to streamline processes.
- Engage with cloud technologies and batch processing tools (e.g., Control-M) to manage high-volume data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in automated testing, batch processing, and high-volume data handling.
- Proficiency in Java, Rest Assured, Postman, Spark, and BDD testing.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to introducing innovative solutions.
- Experience with relational database queries and test data mining.
