Spectre Primer Technologies is looking for a technician to run a large sputter coater and help in the completion of R&D for a couple new technologies. We’re a Florida based startup setting up a small facility in Loveland, Co. The ideal applicant will have experience with operating machinery or a working knowledge of sputtering/thin film deposition. No specific experience is necessary however and on the job training will be provided. Typical hours are 9-6 though some weekends and evenings may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates coating equipment for the production and development of Thin Film coatings
- Performs chamber and materials preparation, substrate cleaning and loading, and coating startup and finish
- Supports the responsibilities of accurate recording of coating data and material logs
- Monitors coating and chamber parameters to ensure the process is under control
- Remains alert to tool and chamber behavior and notifies maintenance of any equipment issues
- Interfaces with engineering for development processes
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Must Be a US citizen
- Technical aptitude: A basic understanding of scientific principles and a strong interest in technology.
- Attention to detail: Excellent focus and the ability to follow precise procedures.
- Problem-solving skills: The ability to troubleshoot equipment or process issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
- Familiarity with thin film deposition techniques (e.g., sputtering, evaporation)
- B.S. in Mechanical/Chemical/Materials engineering
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 salary per year depending on experience
