STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

The ideal candidate would possess strong analytical skills and be able work with other engineers to solve problems using existing programs, spreadsheets, or develop custom tools as required. They would work well with peers. They must be willing to approach a wide variety of problems and work towards practical solutions.
Work Duties:
Design economical structural designs to support vendor provided equipment.
Aid in the development of environmental & motion induced loading based on provided environmental criteria.
Develop Finite Element Analysis models of offshore structures using ANSYS.
Perform buckling analysis of plated structures using ABS/DNV buckling guides.
Work with senior engineer and drafting department to develop design drawings.
Education and Requirements:
3-5 years Oil & Gas experience.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a preference for Structural, Naval, Ocean, or Marine Engineering
FEA - ANSYS
Strong understanding of:
Rigid body dynamics.
Wave mechanics and wave structure interaction
Vibrations.
Steel structure design.
Working knowledge of the following Codes
AISC design Codes
DNV / ABS
General knowledge of standard design practices.
Good communications skills.
Prior experience with Sefl-Elevating and Column Stabilized units.
