Position: Senior Compute/Storage/Backup/DR Analyst
Location: Cary, NC or Erie, PA (4 days a week onsite)
Shifts/Schedule: 8am-5pm
Conversion Salary: $105,000-120,000
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related areas
- 5-7 years of senior level experience managing Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) environments (Dell VxRail, Nutanix AHV, Cisco HyperFlex)
- Client is currently managing Dell VxRail
- Expert abilities managing Virtual environments utilizing VMware (vCenter, vSAN, vSphere)
- Must be able to prop up a vCenter and manage infrastructure via vCenter and vSphere
- Cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Client is currently partnered with Azure
- Automation experience
- Most internal processes are manual, but there are a lot of opportunities for automation (Upgrades, Decoms, VM builds, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with back up and disaster recovery
- CommVault experience
- ServiceNow experience

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Compute/Storage Analyst for one of our largest manufacturing clients. This team is responsible for compute, storage, back up, and disaster recovery for the Engineering Materials Group, currently focused on decommissioning all the old infrastructure and going to Dell Vx Rail. This group consists of seven divisions – Dell VxRail has been successfully completed in two divisions, and this individual will play a key role implementing and managing Dell VxRail to the remaining five divisions.
Day to day responsibilities also include:
- Daily environmental health monitoring, proactively remediating any identified issues.
- Lead efforts toward the automation and instrumentation of daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on infrastructure hardware end points to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage multiple small to medium initiatives simultaneously.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder involvement.
- Build pre-defined technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure.
- 80% of responsibilities will surround compute and storage duties, 20% will include back up and disaster recovery duties
