ABOUT THE POSITION:
Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment, as well as their maintenance. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs fixtures and test equipment. Provides the testing area with parameters for sample tests and specifies the tests to be performed. Collects data and defines necessary changes in test equipment, test procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Manages the equipment and resources of the test engineering area.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Have knowledge of the needs of all areas regarding the test equipment required to meet production goals and ensure the quality of manufactured products within the company, in order to plan the activities that should have priority for the testing department.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of testing systems, characterization, and control, including functional testing, InCircuit, and RF (Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, etc.).
- Participate in new equipment design projects, plan modifications to existing or duplicated equipment, determining costs, required time, and activity allocation to accomplish this.
- Oversee the active maintenance and optimal functioning of all existing test equipment on-site according to company standards and requirements.
- Communicate and document all changes in accordance with departmental engineering policies and processes.
- Provide support to manufacturing staff with problem analysis related to the testing process.
- Participate in the validation of new equipment to be introduced using statistical tools (R&R).
YOU MUST HAVE:
- A completed university degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
- A relevant Master’s degree (preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- 5 years of experience in a similar position.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge in the design and analysis of electronic circuits.
- Analysis of Test Systems.
- Use and understanding of measurement systems and electronic equipment.
- Utilization of Six Sigma tools.
- Principles of Lean Manufacturing.
- Programming principles (Visual Studio, C++, VB.net, C#, NI LabView).
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Understanding of analog electronic circuits.
- Experience in personnel management.
