Windows System Administrator/Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator/Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of our systems. This role requires hands-on experience with desktops, laptops, Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, firewalls/VPN, and routers.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, and related services.
- Manage and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and other client devices.
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and routers.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies.
- Monitor system performance and availability, and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users or identified through monitoring.
- Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Systems Administrator/Engineer role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, and related services.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and routers.
- Proficiency in desktop and laptop hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience with system monitoring and performance optimization tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
