How will you make a difference?
As a Wabtec Signal Engineer, you have the opportunity to make a difference in our customer’s experience. As a Signal Engineer you are responsible for engineering rail signal systems, including circuit designs and vital logic programming. The Signal Engineer role will require working with customer specifications, railroad standards and FRA regulations.
What do we want to know about you?
You must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related degree
- 1-3 years Signal experience preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
What will your typical day look like?
In this role, you will complete wayside/crossing designs, as well as vital logic controller (VLC) programming. This role also completes wayside interface unit (WIU) programming and reviews project scope with managers and project leads. You will attend project reviews with customers and project leads. You will work within CADD programs, Microstation, and AutoCAD.
You will be required to manage and organize files within a document control system. Maintaining versioning controls. You will review deliverables for proper version and accuracy prior to delivery. You will produce documentation as required by Quality System requirements.
